How Rooftop Cipher works
You do not need to know any music theory. Pick a sound from the tray and give it to a performer, and that performer starts playing it in time with everyone else. Add a kick, then a bass, then a melody, and the track builds up as you go.
Rooftop Cipher is built around hip-hop sounds: a sparse tension beat with a huge dry kick, swung hats and a rim-clap, round filtered bass, eerie synth plucks, breathy chord pulses and an original synthetic cipher call. Try a sound with each performer and listen to what it changes.
Each level hides a set of 6 sounds that unlock the full song. A meter shows how close you are, and if you get stuck, one of the missing sounds starts to glow. When you like your mix, press Share to copy a link that replays it exactly. Whoever opens it can remix it.
